Peace:
I started writing the song “Peace” the day after my new Korg OASYS arrived. It was really me just seeing what the new rig could do. I didn’t really think about keeping the track and stashed it for later. Fast forward I had finished writing the score for the movie “Think Peace” and was getting back into recording my album. I re-listened to the track and got back into it adding the vocal sample “Peace” then everything else fell into place. For me the song is about the illusion of “World Peace”. Did you ever think about the fact that someone is making allot of money supplying the bullets for the “Peace Keepers”? As long as I can remember I’ve heard the words “World Peace” but it seems like nothings really happened my entire life as far as obtaining it. Governments are spending billions of dollars on “Peace Keeping” missions and then just when we think there may be some sort of resolve, poof another nutbar creates a ruckus and the Peace Keepers go there and it starts all over again. It was so obvious when no weapons of mass destruction were actually found in Iraq that there were other incentives behind the whole thing, and that got me thinking. So that’s what the song is about, will we ever really achieve World Peace, or is there too much money to be made. Kind of the same thing as incurable diseases, how come there’s no cure? Eventually wrongs will be righted when the people making all the money die off and humanity evolves to a more conscious level of thinking.
